Cookie Policy

Websites covered by this policy

This policy applies to the Octopus Telecom websites listed below. Your cookie preference is stored separately by each domain, so you may be asked to make a choice again when moving between websites.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your computer, phone or other device when you visit a website. They can help a website keep you signed in, remember your choices, protect forms from abuse and understand how the website is used.

Session cookies normally disappear when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain for a defined period or until you delete them.

The cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for core website functions and cannot be switched off through our cookie settings. They support secure sessions, login, form submission, fraud prevention and your cookie preference.

Cookie or technology	Provider	Purpose	Typical duration
Joomla session cookie	Octopus Telecom	Maintains a secure session, including access to the customer account and protection of forms.	Session

Analytics cookies — optional

With your permission, Google Analytics helps us understand which pages are visited, how visitors move through the site and whether technical problems occur. We use this information in aggregate to improve the website and our services.

Cookie or technology	Provider	Purpose	Typical duration
`_ga`	Google Analytics	Distinguishes website visitors for aggregated usage statistics.	Up to 2 years
`_ga_*`	Google Analytics	Maintains the state of an analytics session.	Up to 2 years
`_gid`, if set	Google Analytics	Distinguishes visitors for short-term analytics reporting.	Up to 24 hours
Google Tag Manager	Google	Loads and manages approved measurement tags after analytics consent. Tag Manager itself does not normally set a cookie.	Not applicable

We do not intentionally activate advertising or behavioural-marketing cookies through the website’s cookie settings.

Third-party services and external websites

Some features are supplied by third parties. Google reCAPTCHA is used to protect forms. The internet speed-test page embeds a service supplied through Speedtest Custom. If you open or interact with that test, its provider may process technical information and use its own cookies under its own terms.

Links to services such as WhatsApp, Revolut or other external websites take you away from our website. Those services may use their own cookies after you follow the link. Their cookie and privacy practices are controlled by the relevant provider.

How to manage cookies

You can change your choice for optional analytics cookies at any time by selecting Manage cookie settings on this page or in the website footer. Changing your choice does not automatically remove cookies already stored on your device; you can remove those through your browser settings.

Most browsers let you view, delete or block cookies. Blocking all cookies may prevent secure login, forms and other essential website functions from working correctly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website, services or legal obligations change. The latest version and its update date will always be published on this page.
